The “RTD4EDC” project aims at developing recommendations for EC RTD&D policy to increase the share of renewables in Emerging and Developing Countries (EDC’s) with European technologies. This will be based on policy assessments, stakeholders opinions and analyses of best practises.
The RTD4EDC project is financed under the 6th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Commission. |

UGO FARINELLI |

Former director for energy of ENEA (the Italian Agency for Energy and Environment), he is at present Secretary General of the Italian Association of Energy Economics (AIEE) and visiting professor at Lund University (Sweden). He works extensively on energy strategies and technologies with the European Commission (DG Research and DG TREN), with the UN system (UNDP, UNESCO, UN U-Peace etc.) and with other international organisations. |
