RTD4EDC
The “RTD4EDC” project aims at developing recommendations for EC RTD&D policy to increase the share of renewables in Emerging and Developing Countries (EDC’s) with European technologies. This will be based on policy assessments, stakeholders opinions and analyses of best practises.

The RTD4EDC project is financed under the 6th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Commission.

ESENERG is a subsidiary of Adviesbureau voor Energiestrategie (AES), based in Asunción, Paraguay. AES is an independent consulting office founded in the Netherlands in 1991, specialised in strategic advice, know-how transfer and research in the energy field, covering areas like: energy technology, economy, finance and policy. Specific emphasis is given to the implication of energy policies and systems on the social and environmental sustainable development world-wide. Following more than a decade of activities of AES in Latin America, a strategic decision was made to complement these activities by the creation of independent organisations in the region. In 2004, ESENERG has been established as a regional office for Latin America, in particular the MERCOSUR region.

Nano Energy is a company based in South Africa and specialised in sustainable energy issues and provision of research and consulting services. Nano Energy will be in charge of the country analyses for Africa of the role of RTD and identification of best practices. They have undertaken activities across a broad spectrum of areas of intervention for policy through systems development to implementation and project development.
